Before reporting a problem
- Note the SoundOverlay version and Windows version.
- Write down the smallest sequence that reproduces the issue.
- Record what you expected and what happened.
- Test whether the behavior is limited to one device, game, monitor, or rule.
Protect private information
Before sharing logs or screenshots, review them for file paths, Windows account names, device names, game-library locations, network names, or other information you do not want to disclose.
